Minor Service
A safety check and tune-up - £35+
have been a professional bike mechanic for 25 years, working with numerous national and world champion riders, repairing mountain, road, bmx and tri bikes, I've worked on everything from World Cup Downhill mountain bikes to Ironman triathlon road bikes.
I'm experienced in all aspects of bike repairs and maintenance. Whether it be rebuilding your bike with the latest SRAM Etap or Shimano Di2 groupset, stripping down a worn ebike motor to replace the bearings, diagnosing random creaks, solving internal cable rattles, or suspension and dropper post servicing. Basically, if there's any problem with your bike, whether its a top end machine or a kids bmx, I can fix it.
couldn't be simpler:
All you need to do is be there when I pick your bike up at your house or place of work. No trying to get the bike in the car, no taking time off work, no oil on clothes, no messing around.
I don't have a big expensive shop with big expensive overheads, or a big expensive van. This means I can take my time with your bike, not have to churn it through as quickly as possible with the other 20 repairs for the day, make sure its actually done right, and still keep the costs below the standard bike shops. I only use quality parts. That means Shimano or Jagwire cables, SKF or Enduro bearings, OEM brake pads, and the highest quality workshop materials. Yes, these may be more expensive initially, but I'd rather not have you come back with failed parts! And cheap 'Amazon special' components can fail catastrophically...
For more complex repairs your bike will be picked up, serviced, and dropped off at a time to suit, including outside normal work hours.
well mantained bike is safer, more reliable and more enjoyable to ride. That's as important as reasons can be. I'd recommend getting a bike serviced at least every year, and ideally every 6 months if being used regularly. It allows issues to be picked up sooner before they become bigger issues! As eBikes become more popular I'm seeing more and more issues with too long service intervals causing problems all through the bikes...Remember an eBike weighs considerably more, and puts more power through, than a conventional bike. Service them regularly
